I am a bit of a geek um I believe in my earlier years I was definitely an introvert but I would have to state of him quite an extrovert now however I’m also rather independent too um I am rather strong-willed which makes it a bit tough for hubby often however I I do like the markets and I do like learning also so I’m a little bit of a reader I like numbers and I guess I’m a little bit of a late bloomer also I believe yeah yeah and to the point that you’ve discussed that you’re an introvert and how I think I was a shy shy yeah of course you’re you’re now an extrovert however how did you how did you shift in between that and you’re quite you’re put constantly out there putting yourself out there how did you shift between that
sure I believe one of the things that individuals ask me or or get talked about a fair bit is that I appear to be a natural speaker that I’m rather good at public speaking but that absolutely was not always the case and it was a learned ability for me so whether it was the um getting over the nerves part or the part around body movement or perhaps called The Confident walk I believe all of those were um sort of taught abilities so it definitely wasn’t something that came naturally to me and I worked really hard I think to obtain that ability of being able to speak um and I believe something that made a very big impression on me for someone who was late Blue Moon introvert and relative truly shy in my more youthful years was that everybody has the right to speak so to be able to express yourself in a way that individuals comprehend I believe was rather important to me and um I guess that’s why I operated at the school and hopefully I am better at it now than I was when I started off I would absolutely say so um and how did you can you tell us a little bit about how you started in um Finance like why did you choose a profession in finance and what was the the first point of contact in the monetary world was there an adult impact or was this something that you were simply always thinking about I would like to state that you know I constantly knew what I was going to do and that was Finance however that was not the case at all I can come back when I started working it wasn’t.
uncommon simply to fall under your type of work for me I really wanted to be an attorney from the time I was about seven years old but at the time that I went to UNI there were a lot of attorneys that the unemployment rate with law was so high that you had to do a double degree um so that was sort of 5 years of a double degree plus an additional year of law school and then three years practicing as a solicitor and I thought oh that sort of seem like an extra ten years so I really went and ended up studying company at UTS so um comparable to a Commerce degree um but throughout uni I um I worked at an Italian dining establishment and then I tried to open an Italian dining establishment and to do that um I needed to take out a loan with a NAB and actually I needed to pay back that loan when it didn’t exercise so um I I saw an ad in the paper and it stated do you wish to be a stock broker and I believed oh yeah that sounds pretty good yeah we’ll try we’re here we go and um you know I was fortunate in that sense because I I do enjoy the work I enjoy being able to understand organizations and to work in a market where you’re continuously having the ability to keep up to date with what’s taking place in the world what’s occurring in terms of advancements in technology or biotechnology and science I think is an amazing thing so I like to read it and I never ever have a scarcity of stories to check out when it comes to the markets yeah great and between transition from oh I may wish to be a stock broker how did you become state injustices financial investment strategist how did that occur um existed.
